Beatball 4v4 Mode
4v4 is Beatball's newest and largest standard format, added in the July 22, 2026 update. Eight circles compete on the same 2D pitch — four per team — with ranked divisions, clan leaderboards, and the most demanding coordination in the game. If 3v3 felt chaotic, 4v4 rewards structured rotations and clear role assignment.
What Is 4v4 in Beatball?
Each team fields four players controlling circular avatars. The same one-kick-button physics apply — pass and shoot through timed ball contact. Goals, kickoffs, and match timers work identically to smaller modes, but the extra bodies create more passing lanes, defensive layers, and counter-attack opportunities.
Team Roles and Rotation
Assign natural roles: one or two press the ball, one holds a central support position, and one anchors goal defense. Never have all four players chase — maintain a box or diamond shape that shifts as possession changes. Rotate after each touch so fresh players attack while tired ones recover behind the play.
Ranked 4v4 and Parties
4v4 has its own ranked queue where teams climb divisions each season. Party up with up to four friends before queuing to guarantee a full squad. Weekend tournaments often feature 4v4 brackets — check Discord announcements for registration times.
Custom Rooms and 16v16
Beyond standard 4v4, Beatball supports custom rooms scaling up to 16v16 for private lobbies and community events. These are not ranked but offer sandbox fun for large friend groups and clan scrimmages.
